CPT 98975 is reported for patient education regarding devices used for initial device setup and data collection. Code 98975 can only be billed once per therapy episode. A therapy episode begins when the remote monitoring service is activated and ends when a specific therapeutic goal is achieved.

CPT 98975 is used to report for device initial setup, patient education, and usage.
CPT Code 98975 is subject to de minimis standards when delivered by a therapist assistant.
Data Device availability for scheduled recording or sending alarms is reported every 30 days.
