CODE DESCRIPTION

RTM code 98977 allows reimbursement for delivery of remote musculoskeletal monitoring devices, including scheduled recordings and/or programmed alarm transmissions. Mostly Physical Therapists and Occupational Therapist use CPT 98977. This CPT is used to monitor the treatment data provided regarding the patient’s compliance with the home exercise program as long as it has been followed for 16 of the previous 30 days.
